We seek to maximize the benefits derived from our grant dollars by clearly defining and limiting our programmatic goals. In most cases we identify and evaluate prospective grants that align with our areas of focus through our own selection and screening processes. While we believe this approach strengthens the effectiveness of our investments, it also means that unsolicited proposals are rarely funded.
